This special feature is due to the clever combination of the unique construction concept and the expressive possibilities of the cherry wood material used.

The unique qualities of the material used for this instrument are inspiring. The special features can best be described in the following words, whereby it is in the nature of things that sounds can only ever be described very inadequately with words. For this reason, the details of the sound typical of recorders are perceived and described slightly differently by each person: Wooden and warm.

The scale

The inner bore of the recorder is cylindrical and wider. This type of bore gives the recorder its typical sound.
In principle, instruments with a wider bore sound warmer, fuller, more fundamental and therefore more suitable for ensembles than models with a narrower scale.

Cherry wood is ideal for instruments used in folk music and for beginners to recorder playing.

The windway of a recorder

The windway is the area in the instrument headjoint where the musician's blowing air is moulded into a sheet of air. This air blade is the basis of the instrument's sound production. In interaction with the labium, the air blade creates the vibration that generates the flute sound. The shape of the windway is therefore extremely important for the recorder's ability to create music.

Conically shaped windways accelerate the air blade more than cylindrical ones.
Due to their design, windways are extremely complex and many parameters interact.

Keys

It is not always possible to place tone holes in places in the body that are comfortable and easy to play with the fingers. For tuning reasons, some tone holes on low recorders in particular are located in places that are impossible to reach. On such instruments, the instrument makers fit key mechanisms that make playing considerably easier or even possible in the first place.
The 6420-02 instrument has the following keys: Comfort keys on the middle joint. This means that it can also be played comfortably by players with smaller hands. The key shape is unique and legally protected. Especially in Taiwan and Korea, these models are often used in youth ensembles by internationally renowned teachers for young players.
But even adult players with small hands will not want to miss the advantages of the comfort keys on the middle joint once they have got to know them.

Multi-piece construction

The construction of a recorder has a fundamental influence on the way in which the woodwind instrument can be easily assembled and safely transported during use.
